Pond Friend Supreme Sturgeon and Sterlet pellets are a premium food specifically developed to provide the high protein and correct vitamin and minerals levels for this family of fish. Unlike Goldfish Koi and other pond fish, Sturgeon are lacking bones and scales, instead their unique skeletal structure is made of cartilaginous tissue. Unfortunately this makes Sturgeon prone to deformities if fed the wrong type of food especially when young and growing quickly. In their natural habitat Sturgeon feed on or near the bottom using their sensitive barbells to search out insects, worms and other invertebrates which provides them with the high protein diet necessary to maintain good health.This is a complete sinking food that does not need supplementing. It contains a higher protein content than standard pond pellets more suited to the dietary requirements of bottom feeding fish such as sturgeon and helps encourages healthy growth . It has added vitamin C to improve your fish's immune system and helps them fight infection. Other pond fish such as Tench, Catfish and even Koi will also relish this food.
