Colombo Nitrate NO3 Test - Suitable For Testing Tropical, Coldwater & Marine Aquariums And Ponds!!
Approx 40 Tests
Why Test?
Nitrate (NO3) is produced from the breakdown of nitrite in the filter. Nitrate is relatively harmless to freshwater fish, but its presence can indicate a deterioration in the aquarium environment, and high nitrate will encourage algal growth. The only way to know what the nitrate level is, is by testing it with a Nitrate test kit. Regular testing will help you to assess the overall health of the environment.
Regular testing, especially in new aquaria and ponds, will prevent damage caused by nitrite poisoning.
A maximum level of nitrate in any freshwater tank or pond is 50 mg/l, and for seawater, 10 mg/l.
