The Blagdon MiniPond 6000 is an effective 5 stage filtration system for garden ponds up to 6000 litres. It comes complete with a built in high efficiency 9w PLS UV tube to help keep your pond water crystal clear.

MiniPond Filtration Cycle

Stage 1 - Algae Destruction:
Pond water enters the filter through a stepped hosetail (12.5/20/25mm) and then into the UV chamber where UV light kills the algae cells that cause green water. The water and dead algae are then forced through a spray bar that aerates and evenly distributes it over the filter foams for the next stage of the process.

Stage 2 - Mechanical Filtration:
The water flows through three layers of graded foam filter pads that strain out the dead algae and other solid particles, before entering stage 3.

Stage 3 - Biological Filtration
The desludged water now has to pass through ceramic biological filter media where millions of aerobic bacteria help breakdown and convert deadly ammonia and nitrite into harmless chemicals.

Stage 4 & 5- Chemical Filtration & Polishing
In the last stage water passes through polymer wool pads that remove fine waste particles polishing the water before passing through a carbon impregnated pad removing any remaining chemical pollutants before finally exiting
