EcoPower 10000 + Pond Filter is a high performance filter hat can be partially buried in the ground and comes with a built in 16w UV clarifier . It is designed for ponds up to 10000 litre were fish are to be housed or wildlife ponds to 20000 litre.

Ecopower Filtration Cycle

Stage 1 - Algae Destruction:
Pond water enters the filter through a stepped hosetail (20/25/32/40mm). From here it passes into the UV chamber. The UV chamber features a "turbulator" to ensure that the water is exposed correctly to the UV light . The UV kills the algae cells that causes greenwater and clumps them together before passing the water through a venture to aerate it before it enters stage 2.

Stage 2 - Mechanical Filtration:
The water passes into the bottom of the filter, flows through the plastic media, where most of the solid waste is trapped, before entering stage 3. The trapped waste in the bottom chamber can be desludged through a 32mm pipework outlet.

Stage 3 - Biological Filtration
The desludged water now has to pass through specially profiled filter sponge where it is polished and where millions of aerobic bacteria help breakdown and convert deadly ammonia and nitrite into harmless chemicals
